If you do not have access to a smart light, you can use the Torch as a substitute. 

If using the torch you must keep the app in the foreground. Do NOT allow the phone to sleep. 

If you are using the torch take particular care to ensure that your phone is plugged in overnight.

The colour temperature of the torch is fixed. You can dim the display by swiping down on the main screen after setting the alarm.
