If this is a problem, you should not use the app as an alarm clock. Both the normal alarm sound and the control of the light rely on the app functioning at the time of the alarm.

Some Possible Failure Modes

Software crash or error

Termination of timing track because of use by other apps.

Operating system termination of app.

Failure of internet connection.

Flat battery on phone.

Power failure.

Putting app to sleep will stop torch from functioning as wakeup light

Touch Lamps need to be manually switched on again after a power failure.
