LIFX lights need to be connected to the local WIFI network before they can be found.

If the light is connected to the network, it will be shown in the Available Lights section of the Settings window.

If you have connected the light to the network and you cannot find it, try switching the light off and then on again.

Internet Control

LIFX bulbs can be controlled over the internet instead of the local WiFi. Most people will not need this option. It is a relatively difficult process and requires creation of a personal access token in your LIFX Cloud home . You can see a short GIF explaining how to generate a Personal Access Token here. To use this option, turn the Use LAN switch off, and enter your personal access token into the Token field.
