Preferences

LatinEdit implements the preferences from Whitaker’s WORDS. You can change these preferences to suit your usage, however some combinations may make the parser erratic or fail to function. In this case you can always reset the preferences to those shown above, or you can view the raw output from WORDS by pulling up the split bar in the Dictionary window.

If you are experiencing problems with the parser, the Log Communications button will log all input to and output from WORDS. You can send me the log file to make it easier to find the cause of the issue.

The Grammar panel of the Preferences window lets you add links to points of grammar in the Grammar window. For speed of loading, LatinEdit caches the html file. The default Grammar points refer to Charles Bennet's New Latin Grammar on thelatinlibrary.com.

You can choose another reference if you wish, and add or delete points using the + and - buttons. The + button will add a sub point to point of grammar you have selected. If you have not selected any point, it will add a main grammar topic.
